There are endless ways to keep track of day-to-day small business tasks and activities. From a Google calendar, to your editorial calendar for content…your iphone calendar and reminders for appointments…maybe you still use your DayTimer. As a writer and a reader, I love paper stuff. No matter how many electronic tools and online resources I have, my intuitive fall-back position is always…paper. I just can’t help myself.
If you are like me and need to see, feel, and touch your task list, I like to use some old school task tracking and reminders. I print a weekly or monthly FREE calendar from someone like CalendarsThatWork.com. They have a number of printable calendars that you can print out. These are good for everything “big picture” items, whether it be monthly goals, personal tasks I need to remember, to daily reminders or office housekeeping items that I don’t want to clutter up my phone with. Basically anything I want to post in front of my face so I see it. Just sayin’.
Old school? Yep. Effective? Absolutely.
